The ceiling of tempura in Hong Kong

I really love eating tempura, and this little tempura 🍤 shop in Tsim Sha Tsui is my favorite because although the shop isn’t very big, it has an amazing vibe!!!! The whole feeling is like being in Japan!

Their tempura set meal is customizable, so you can choose different ingredients and different noodles. This time, both of us chose the customizable tempura set meal, but picked different tempura ingredients~

The tempura set meal includes a lobster miso soup and an appetizer. No joke, the lobster 🦞 miso soup is really fragrant 😂😂

The appetizer is cucumber and orange 🍊 but I ate it last (I was too eager to eat the tempura at first and forgot about it…)

For noodles, I definitely chose udon. They have one called "Cold Sudachi Udon," which is totally different from the udon I usually make. The chilled udon paired with sudachi is really amazing, especially now that the weather is getting hotter!

Sudachi has a flavor that’s a mix of yuzu and lime, and together they’re super fresh!!

Plus, it’s served with a special cold noodle sauce, and the udon itself is incredibly springy and refreshing!! Just the udon alone is already fantastic! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

The tempura ingredients are also quite outstanding.

First, I highly recommend ordering the soft-shell crab~ The soft-shell crab isn’t small! And it’s not just the typical crispy fried texture; the crab meat inside is quite flavorful (of course… you can’t compare the sweetness of soft-shell crab meat to that of hairy crab meat!)

Next, you must order the eel~ because it’s rare to find delicious tempura eel… but this combination is great because the eel meat inside is still very tender! The eel sauce is still there~

Also, definitely order the seaweed shrimp paste 🥲🥲🫶🏻🫶🏻 crispy on the outside and tender on the inside 😆😆

The soft-boiled egg is also my favorite, still maintaining a smooth and slightly runny center!! 🥚🥚

Additionally, I want to introduce their "vegetable" options.
The enoki mushrooms are fried to look like a whole flower 🙌🏻😹😹🌼🌹 and taste pretty good!

The eggplant and sweet potato are also quite good, both sweet inside with a crispy tempura coating.

I really appreciate that their tempura isn’t "so hard it scrapes your mouth" 😂😂 and still retains the original flavor of the food! The best part is you can choose the ingredients you like, unlike fixed set meals where sometimes there are things you don’t want to eat 😆😆

I think it’s worth checking in here when you come to eat because the restaurant environment is beautiful and definitely worth a try!
