We stopped by Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant for lunch right after arriving in Melaka, and it was the perfect post-travel pick-me-up. The first thing that struck us was how clean and inviting the place felt—bright interiors, efficient layout, and a staff that immediately greeted us with warm smiles.

We went straight for the signature barbecue sets, featuring fresh, well-marbled pork and beef ready for grilling at our table. The servers were pros—handling the BBQ for us, turning and slicing the meat at just the right time. It’s the best way to ensure everything is cooked perfectly without any guesswork.

The sides (banchan) were a real highlight—kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, pickled radish, and more—each plate was flavorful and refilled promptly. We also added a stone pot bibimbap and a seafood pancake to round out the meal. The bibimbap came sizzling hot, with crisp veggies and an egg just begging to be mixed in.

Overall, everything tasted fresh, hearty, and satisfying. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity on offer. It was casual and relaxed—ideal for families or small groups starting a Malacca adventure.
