1908bc British Chinese

#GreatPlaceForDragonBoatFestival

A Chinese-Western fusion restaurant I’ve recently come to like. The staff are very polite and friendly. They mentioned that since 1908 was the year Chinese restaurants entered Westernized areas, the restaurant is named 1908bc British Chinese. The peacock 🦚 painting outside the restaurant is beautifully captivating. I enjoyed Chinese dishes while listening to classic English songs. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a special ambiance where Chinese and English cultures blend ❤️💚💙💜. I plan to come again on Dragon Boat Festival day!

Lunch set dim sum 🧆🥧 platter
The presentation is exquisite. The dim sum includes shrimp dumplings, siu mai, crystal dumplings, and BBQ pork buns. The shrimp dumpling skin is thin and translucent, with a fresh and bouncy texture. The siu mai is equally flavorful, and the dipping sauce is spicy and tasty.

Soup of the day
Summer is the season for melons. The soup contains Chinese yam and is a nourishing, slow-cooked soup!

Mini steamed rice with shiitake mushroom and chicken
Mini steamed rice with preserved vegetables and steamed pork
The fragrant steamed rice is mouthwatering and generously filled.

Savoring Chinese tea while enjoying the meal is so relaxing 💜
