This Japanese restaurant located in Tsim Sha Tsui offers a comfortable environment with a warm atmosphere. Their specialty is tempura rice bowls that are very eye-catching🍤. The tempura batter is thin and perfectly fried, not greasy, which is a delightful surprise. Each rice bowl comes with miso soup and pickles, and they also offer a variety of Japanese snacks and drinks🥤.
✨ Ise Lobster Tempura Rice Bowl with Cold Soba Noodles ($198)
Australian Lobster | Eggplant | Okra | Pumpkin | Lotus Root | Shiitake Mushroom | Soft-Boiled Egg
Fresh Australian lobster is made to order and very appealing🦞, with rich umami flavor. The frying is just right, with a crispy exterior and tender, springy meat inside. Highly recommend the shiitake mushroom tempura🍄🟫—the thick shiitake mushrooms are flavorful and juicy. The pumpkin is fragrant, sweet, and soft🎃, and the lotus root is fried to a crispy texture😍. Paired with warm soba noodles that are refreshing and smooth, topped with scallions and crispy tempura bits for a richer taste.
✨ Seafood Tempura Rice Bowl with Japanese Rice ($148)
Tiger Prawn | Anago Eel | Scallop | Sand Lance | Matsuba Crab Claw | Eggplant | Lotus Root | Shiitake Mushroom | Soft-Boiled Egg
All five types of seafood are fresh and of good quality🦐. The tiger prawn meat is tender and springy. The extra-long anago eel is very satisfying to eat. The scallops are thick and sweet. The matsuba crab claw tempura is meaty and quite special🦀. The soft-boiled egg yolk is rich and fragrant, perfectly complementing the plump Japanese rice🍚.
✨ Drinks
There are many drink options. We ordered Mt. Fuji Cola and Lucky Cat Soda🥤, both refreshing and not overly sweet. The Lucky Cat Soda has a honey-sweet flavor🍯.
