The paradise of all-you-can-eat hotpot, Ah Yeh’s food is crazy good

Restaurant: Ah Yeh Ba Xian Hotpot (Tsim Sha Tsui)
Address: Shop A&B, 1/F, China Insurance Building, 48 Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

When it comes to dining out, hotpot is definitely one of the top choices for Hongkongers. Add the words "all-you-can-eat," and it becomes even more of a favorite❤️. Recently, I went to Ah Yeh Ba Xian Hotpot in Tsim Sha Tsui for all-you-can-eat hotpot🍲. For $368, you can enjoy 2.5 hours of unlimited dining, but if you’re smart✨ and settle the bill before 7pm, you get an instant $70 discount, meaning you can indulge in premium ingredients for just $298. You can also add $20 to upgrade to unlimited beer and soft drinks🍻. Who could resist that?🤤

Before starting the hotpot, they served a sashimi platter first, just by liking and sharing the restaurant on any social media platform👍. It included oysters🦪, tuna, surf clams, octopus🐙, sweet shrimp🦐, squid🦑, ark shell, and razor clams. Every item was fresh, comparable to the quality of a Japanese restaurant🍣.

While eating, the staff brought crispy eel with bones and homemade five-fingered peach soup. The soup was sweet and clear, good for strengthening the spleen and moistening the lungs, perfect for warming up after sashimi😜. Then came the all-you-can-eat chicken pot. I chose the fish maw chicken pot; the chicken was tender and flavorful, rich but not greasy, paired with the smooth and chewy fish maw, very satisfying😌. After finishing one pot, I was already a bit full, but the main hotpot hadn’t even started yet😂.

For the hotpot, I chose the tomato broth🍅, which was fresh and slightly sweet, perfect with beef and seafood. The hand-cut Angus beef served had a strong beef flavor, with just the right marbling, tender with a bit of chewiness. Cooking it in the broth for about ten seconds absorbed the tomato flavor and added layers of taste🤓.

Next was the lobster seafood platter, which surprisingly included abalone, lobster🦞, crab🦀, prawns🦐, and scallops. Each was fresh and large; the lobster meat was sweet and tender, the abalone was chewy, and some items were even all-you-can-eat. This level of quality is truly rare💯.

The order sheet had nearly 60 kinds of hotpot dishes for you to choose from, with an astonishing variety🫢. Pork, beef, chicken, various seafood, vegetables, noodles, and hotpot ingredients—so many options you can’t finish them all, fully satisfying everyone’s tastes. Even razor clams, grouper slices, pearl oysters, pig lungs and brains, beef marrow, chicken kidneys, and chicken eggs were all included in the all-you-can-eat menu. Everything you could want👏.

For the extra charge unlimited drinks, they offered Yanjing beer, coconut water with water chestnut, refreshing grass jelly, heat-relieving drinks, oolong tea, and various sodas. The selection wasn’t large but still pretty good🙈.
