The pristine scenery is known as "Hong Kong's Little Antarctica." The route is simple and suitable for beginners. Remember to apply plenty of sunscreen☀️
🚢 Island Access
▪️ Starting Point 1: Aberdeen Pier (Exit A, Lei Tung MTR Station)
About a 50-minute boat ride, limited departures
Outbound: 10:00 AM
Return: 2:30 PM / 4:00 PM
🎫 One-way fare: HKD 30
▪️ Starting Point 2: Stanley Buk Kong Pier (Direct bus 260 from Central)
30-minute boat ride, operates Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun, more frequent departures
🎫 One-way fare: HKD 30
📸 Photo Spots
📍 Lighthouse 126 | Pure white cliff lighthouse
The southernmost landmark on the island, with an endless sea view backdrop
📍 Monk’s Rock + Spirit Turtle Mountain
Coastal hiking trail with vividly weathered rock formations
📍 Buddha’s Hand Rock | Giant magical stone formation
Five-fingered giant rock hanging over the coastline; pose from the side to "hold up Buddha’s Hand"
📍 Wan Chai Store | Pier convenience store
Seaweed instant noodles HKD 50, water HKD 12, Pocari Sweat HKD 15, reasonably priced
💡 Tips
1️⃣ Wear non-slip hiking shoes; the trail is primitive with many loose stones
2️⃣ Use both physical and chemical sunscreen; there is almost no shade on the island🔥
3️⃣ It’s recommended to take the 4:00 PM boat back for a more relaxed schedule
4️⃣ Signal is very weak; download offline maps in advance
In the 30°C summer heat, rush into Hong Kong’s southernmost blue-green secret spot—the salty sea breeze pushes the clouds along, the lighthouse stands as a lonely coordinate in the vast ocean, and at this moment, I am freer than the wind🪁
