1. Graz, as the second largest city in Austria, brought me so many surprises this time! If you like to travel alone like me and don’t want to miss every wonderful place, this guide is for you
2. Here is a perfect 24-hour travel guide to Graz: 8:00-9:00 am: Enjoy breakfast at Tribeka Cafe, taste delicious coffee and desserts, and enjoy the river view. 3. 9:00-11:00: Visit the old town, stroll along Herrengasse, and admire the historical buildings, mansions, specialty shops and cafes on both sides of the street. Stop and stay at Graz Main Square.
11:00-12:00: Go to the Armory, which is said to be the largest weapons storage depot in Europe, but I personally think boys may be more interested in it. 12:00-13:30: Take the cable car, elevator or walk to the Castle Hill and have dinner at the restaurant on the top of the mountain while enjoying the beautiful city view of Graz.
4. Check out Graz Clock Tower, which was built in the 13th century and is the highest point and symbol of the city. It offers a great view of the architecture of Graz.
13:30-14:30: After going down the mountain, visit Graz Cathedral, a building that is a perfect combination of Gothic and Baroque styles, with exquisite murals and precious relics inside.
5. Find a local restaurant and try local delicacies such as beef stew, croquettes, etc. Don’t forget to have a piece of Austria’s famous Sachertorte. 16:00-18:00: Go to the Graz Art Museum (Kunsthaus Graz). This building, which is called "friendly alien" by locals, has a unique shape and houses a rich collection of contemporary art works. Afterwards, take a walk on Murinsel Island and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Mur River.
This is a great place to check in.
