Kai Tak Exquisite Dim Sum

Because my family is more Westernized, we rarely go to Chinese restaurants for dim sum. However, I saw a restaurant online that has some really cute dim sum specialties, so I went to Kai Tak today to try it.

We specially ordered a few of the more exquisite dim sum dishes, including:
🌟Goldfish Dumplings in Soup
Goldfish dumplings are actually shrimp dumplings, with a nice, chewy filling and a delicate goldfish-shaped wrapper.

🌟Golden Piglet Buns
The filling of these piglet buns is lava-filled custard, which kids will love; it really has a lava-like effect.

🌟Golden Zengcheng Gualv
I initially thought they were fried shrimp balls in the shape of lychees, but they turned out to be filled with custard filling, also lava-like. What a surprise!

🌟Abalone Thousand Layer Pastry $32/piece
The abalone isn't very large, but the pastry is crispy enough. A bit pricey, but very exquisite.

🌟 Crispy and Juicy Baby Pigeon
The pigeon itself is highly recommended, as the skin is crispy and the juicy meat inside is well-preserved and flavorful.

🌟 Spicy Jellyfish
This jellyfish, which I don't usually eat, was very springy and refreshing, not too spicy, and the portion was generous.

🌟 Secret Recipe Teapot Soup (Bowl)
It's packed with the rich flavor of chicken, so soup lovers should definitely try it.

🌟 Siu Mei Combo Rice
Barbecued Pork + Roasted Pork Belly
The siu mei was a bit disappointing. The char siu wasn't balanced between fat and lean, and was rather tough. Conversely, the roasted pork belly was too fatty, and many parts were inedible.

Overall, the restaurant's ambiance is acceptable, with comfortable window seating. The dim sum is excellent compared to the main dishes.
