🏢 Monster Building ที่มาของฉากหนัง Transformers

#HongKongTravel 🏢 Monster Building, also known as the "Yick Cheong Building Complex" or simply Yick Flat, is one of Hong Kong's most popular architectural landmarks. It's a popular destination for photographers and tourists who appreciate unique city views. This complex is a series of steep residential buildings, creating a central space that resembles a scene from the sci-fi film Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), inspired by the Monster Building.
📍The highlight is the low-angle shot, looking up at the buildings, rooms, and balconies. We recommend shooting from the bottom up or using a wide-angle lens for a better shot. Besides the Monster Building, this area also offers some cool photo opportunities. The billboards at the crosswalk are also stylish, and there's even a tram passing by.
⚠️ Caution: Residents live here, so please respect privacy. Avoid taking photos of other people, avoid using drones, and keep your voice down. (I suspect residents might be experiencing some inconvenience, as there are signs prohibiting photography.) Another point is that the entrance to the flats is quite old and a bit scary. For women, it's probably better to have a friend with you rather than going alone.
🚘Getting there: Take the Tsuen Wan Line to Quarry Bay Station, use Exit A, and walk to 20 Salisbury Road / Yick Cheong Building in the Quarry Bay area for about 10-15 minutes. When we got there, we got lost and couldn't find our way, so we kept asking for directions. 😆
