Located just off Lee Tung Street in the tourist district of Wan Chai, this restaurant offers Thai cuisine prepared by a Michelin-starred chef.
We started with a set menu for two. The coconut chicken soup had a rich, generous broth and was a good size. We loved the flavorful straw mushrooms. You can choose between yellow or green curry, with chicken, beef, or pork. We opted for the yellow beef curry, which was served with grilled buns dipped in the yellow curry sauce. The buns were delicious.
The chicken gilt-edged vermicelli had a unique blend of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. The addition of lime juice added a layered flavor, keeping the gilt-edged vermicelli from clumping. The chicken was also quite good.
For dessert, the icy water chestnuts in coconut milk were refreshing and unique, with a red and green color scheme. They were both chewy and had a coconut flavor.
✵For drinks, when visiting a Thai restaurant, you absolutely have to try the Thai milk tea. It's not too sweet, making it a healthier option. The lime soda is a must-try Thai drink, refreshing and appetite-boosting.
✵We also ordered the stir-fried broccoli with garlic, which was crisp and delicious. There was also a snack platter for just one dollar, which included fried shrimp cakes, fried shredded pork, a lucky bag, and crispy fried chicken wings. I personally preferred the fried chicken wings, which were crispy and had just the right amount of saltiness. The shrimp cakes can be topped with sweet and sour sauce, which gives them a rich, umami flavor.
