For the most breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong, a trip to the Sky Terrace 428 at The Peak Tower is non-negotiable. I ascended just before sunset, and the experience was worth every penny of the admission fee.

Stepping onto the open-air terrace, the 360-degree vista is simply staggering. The iconic skyscraper canyon of Victoria Harbour, the green hills of Kowloon, and the outlying islands are all laid out beneath you. As day turned to night, I watched the city transform: the skyline began to twinkle and pulse, and the famous laser light show painted the towers with light. It’s a view that perfectly captures the grandeur of Hong Kong.

While the lower levels of the Peak Tower are free and offer good views, the unobstructed, elevated perspective from the Sky Terrace is in a league of its own. It can get crowded, but the spacious layout allows for finding a perfect spot at the railing.
