Repulse Bay Beach - HK

A lovely beach, but the people absolutely ruin it! I, a British Chinese girl visited with my family. I was enjoying sunbathing until I woke up to see a group of tourists visiting for the day taking photos and pictures of us. While we understood many weren’t from the area and hadn’t seen mixed or British people before, this is no excuse to violate basic boundaries and show no respect to others visiting and minding their own business! As we were at a beach, we were in bikinis, so the shoving of cameras in our faces by multiple people made us extremely uncomfortable. One woman even got physical with my sister, touching her and posing to get a picture with others behind laughing. We made it as clear as we could that we were not comfortable with this, but they decided to ignore us and carry on. Although this can been a lovely day out, you must expect your boundaries to be crossed if you’re not Chinese.
