Visiting Tsim Sha Tsui via the Star Ferry and seeing The Clock Tower

I took the Star Ferry from Wan Chai Pier to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier. (You can get there via Star Ferry from Central, or via MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station).

It was raining on and off when I got there, and I managed to take a few beautiful pictures of the clock tower.

The Clock Tower at Tsim Sha Tsui is a declared monument of Hong Kong that remains from the old Kowloon station which was part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway. It was preserved when the station was demolished in 1977 and the nearby Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Hong Kong Cultural Centre were built. The Clock Tower bell was moved around and displayed elsewhere until it was shown in the clock tower after 2010. Since December 9th 2021, the bell has rung hourly between 8 am to midnight.

I also managed to get a few pictures along the Promenade. This is a nice walk to do as you can walk past the Museums and Cultural Centre, along the Promenade and Avenue of Stars. There are a few nice restaurants located along the front as well.

There are a few hotels located near to the front, including the K11 ARTUS, Rosewood Hong Kong, Regent Hong Kong, The Royal Garden, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, New World Millennium Hong Kong and Kowloon Shangri-La. I would love to try out these hotels and give you a clear and detailed review of my experiences.

K11 is a large shopping centre arcade which you can try out. There are a lot of high-end retailers there and a selection of restaurants.

I also posted a different picture of one of the side streets on the way to Chungking Mansions where I picked up some Indian food. There are a lot of money traders and phone shops also located there, and many Indian shops.
