Cruise First Experience|Hong Kong to Miyakojima, Japan - 5 Days 4 Nights 🩵

We set sail on the "Gulangyu" during the National Day holiday, following the route Hong Kong - Miyakojima - Hong Kong.

We chose an ocean-view room, which was really worth it 👍. The room was small but offered a great view of the sea 🌊. With sunlight streaming in, it felt cozy and not stuffy at all ☀️.

🧥 Remember to bring a jacket! Especially on the 7th floor where the air conditioning is super strong 🥶. Some people even wore light down jackets.
🔌 There’s a universal adapter in the room.
💊 It’s recommended to bring seasickness medicine. On the first day, we encountered a typhoon 🌪️, and the ship was swaying a lot. Many people got seasick and vomited 🤢. After watching the boarding performance, we went back to our room to rest immediately.

🎫 The room card is super important! It’s needed for boarding, disembarking, and making purchases. It even has your name printed on it, making it a great keepsake ❤️.
📶 We didn’t buy the ship’s WiFi but used the overseas data provided by Skyroam. It worked intermittently in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. On the fourth day, we even had a signal near Fujian (Shantou), which was very convenient 📱.
🗞️ Every day, there’s a "Star Travel Daily" with activity schedules. We actively checked it to plan for the next day!

🍴 Now, the most important part—food!
There are three free restaurants on the ship:
"Lido" offers a buffet 🥗, available from breakfast to late-night snacks.
"Oriental" and "Peninsula" are à la carte 🍛, with many dishes similar to the buffet but in a nicer setting.
There are also paid restaurants, with "Asian Bistro" being relatively affordable.
🍹 There are plenty of bars. We tried a few drinks and finally had a Pina Colada. However, the taste wasn’t as amazing as we expected 😂.

🚍 The cruise departs from Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, and there’s a free shuttle bus from Shenzhen Bay Port 🆓. The border crossing was super quick! With fewer people, it took less than ten minutes both ways—very smooth.

🌊 The open sea was stunningly beautiful 💙, and the waters around Miyakojima were even more breathtaking! Without internet, it was even more relaxing and enjoyable 🧘♀️. Not having to deal with crowds during the National Day holiday was truly refreshing!

🎶 The onboard entertainment was great: "Prince of Love Songs Jerry" 🎤 and the island band with talented performers 🎸. We attended their shows every day!
🍦 The Blue Seal ice cream in Miyakojima was absolutely delicious 😋. We also went to Don Quijote to buy souvenirs 🛍️. The only regret was not getting to try Miyako beef 🥩.

💭 Can’t wait for the next cruise trip—such a relaxing and chill 5 days and 4 nights 💤✨
