Mong Kok Korean BBQ Recommendation

Every visit to Jaksal Charcoal Grill leaves me fully satisfied 🥩
The T.O.P branch has been my go-to since its opening.
The environment is comfortable, and the service is excellent.
Besides Korean BBQ, they also offer other Korean dishes 🇰🇷.
Usually, it gets quite busy in the evening, so this time my friends and I went early at 5:30 PM.

~ Sukiyaki Matsutake Wagyu
Served in portions of two pieces, perfect for sharing with friends. First, heat up the sukiyaki sauce, then add the matsutake mushrooms and wagyu beef 🐂. The wagyu is incredibly tender, and wrapping it with rice and dipping it in egg sauce makes it absolutely delicious.

~ Wild Mushroom & Wagyu BBQ Platter
Presented in a magical box that, when opened, burns a layer of paper for a ceremonial touch. Inside, there are two types of wagyu beef with rich flavors, along with four types of mushrooms 🍄🟫. The staff kindly suggested using the sukiyaki sauce from earlier for grilling, which enhanced the taste even more.

~ Morel Ginseng Chicken Soup
A large pot that serves 3-4 people. The staff skillfully helped us cut the chicken. The silky texture of the black chicken 🐔 pairs well with the soup, which contains glutinous rice, dates, and more. The ginseng flavor is present but not overpowering, making it suitable even for those who dislike bitterness. It also has a hint of sweetness.

~ Eonyang Wagyu with Scallions
A must-order 🤤. The beef is super juicy, and eating it with scallions adds a fragrant aroma that makes you crave more.

~ Crab Roe Stone Pot Rice
This was my first time trying stone pot rice with added crab roe 🦀. It enhances the original aroma with a fresh seafood flavor. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the crispy bits at the bottom are crunchy without being bitter.

For drinks, we ordered soda with grape and lychee flavors 🍹. They also offer alcoholic beverages, but since we had work the next day, we skipped the alcohol this time.
