📍 Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District・Hong Kong Palace Museum
🕰 Recommended Duration: Half-day to Full-day
One of the most anticipated stops during my trip to Hong Kong was visiting the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District!
The architecture is absolutely stunning—modern geometric lines that are both majestic and full of design flair, visible from afar 🏛️✨
We originally planned to take the dedicated shuttle bus for the West Kowloon Cultural District, but accidentally got on the wrong bus 🚍😅, which led to a much longer walk. Along the way, we stumbled into a shopping mall and were fortunate to meet some kind-hearted Hong Kong locals who helped us with directions ❤️
This detour allowed us to discover different corners of the West Kowloon Cultural District.
For lunch, we dined at the rooftop restaurant of the Palace Museum 🍽️, where the windows offered a magnificent view of Victoria Harbour 🌆. What made it even more special was the robot delivering our meals 🤖! Experiencing such a view and service amidst the rain was truly unforgettable.
That day, we encountered a Level 3 typhoon, but thankfully the wind and rain were not too severe. The process of exploring exhibitions, dining, and strolling along the waterfront still brought immense joy. The misty Victoria Harbour exuded a sense of desolation and romance, as if stepping into a scene from a movie. 🌫️💖
