Seoul|Visit Korea's most hidden retro coffee shop: Hongdae Slunch Factory is small but warm

Walking in the alleys of Hongdae, the sunlight just happened to shine on a wooden house. At that moment, I thought I had accidentally entered the small town scene described by Hayao Miyazaki. Here is the unexpected surprise of my trip - slunch factory

The appearance is eye-catching, with the mottled old wooden door, dim lights, and a few old wooden chairs at the door. When you push open the door, a scent of wood mixed with the aroma of coffee hits you in the face. Behind the bar, a whole row of glass bottles sparkles under the lights. The walls are covered with illustrations, postcards, and a few yellowed black-and-white photos. Every detail is as ingenious as an art installation.

I ordered a simple looking small cake and it tasted good
The customers in the store were also very quiet. Some were reading, some were typing, and some were just staring out the window in a daze.

The slunch factory gives me the feeling that it is not a popular check-in spot where tourists line up, but a secret place that people want to come again and again, or even secretly collect. If you happen to come to Hongdae, please be sure to set aside an afternoon for it so that your mind can travel for a while.
