The Houston Art Car Parade is an annual event in Houston, Texas that showcases various types of rolling art. The first Art Car Parade was held on May 14, 1986. This year, I was fortunate to watch the 37th Art Car Parade. More than 250 cars that you could never imagine took turns to take part in the parade, making it a grand scene.

The Art Car Parade is not just a parade but also a competition. Judges and audiences have the right to vote, and the winner will receive $15,000 USD CASH and prizes. The parade is now not only a major event in Houston, but also a well-known event in the United States and even the world.

Each parade attracts different regions and artists to participate. The parade route is as follows. The road will be closed from 7:00 to 17:00 on the day, and people can sit on the roadside and watch for free. There will also be enthusiastic contestants on site who will give out homemade snacks or necklaces to people around them and high-five with the people. Of course there are also paid seats. You can purchase VIP tickets to enjoy the best seats, drink fine wine, eat snacks, and use clean toilets to watch and participate in the evening party.

The 38th exhibition will be held on April 12, 2025. If you will be in Houston at that time, don’t miss this annual event!
