A must-go in this life-the most beautiful tribe Simakus Shenmu Group hiking trail challenge

The uniqueness of Simakusi: This remote tribe was the last to receive electricity in Taiwan and practiced cooperative symbiosis. It also has the largest sacred red cypress tree, which has become their most famous legend. It takes an extra 2 hours to drive up the mountain from the foot of the mountain in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu. I was super excited when I saw the Simakus sign. I felt relaxed in the tribal area and the sky was very comfortable when I looked out at the mountains and forests.
We started our journey to the Shenmu Group trail entrance. This round trip will take at least 4 hours, so you must train your legs well before going! The mountain road along the way is flat and easy to walk. Walking under the shade of the trees, you don't feel too hot or too sunny. It's very comfortable. It took a lot of time just to take pictures. When we arrived at the sacred tree area, we found out that the tribesmen gave each sacred tree a name, which is very cute.
There are waterfalls in Simakus. The mysterious valley can be visited, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to go there. If you go up the mountain during the cherry blossom season, you can see the cherry blossom forest all over the mountain, which is also one of Simakus's famous features.
Itinerary suggestion: It is better to stay for 2 days and 1 night. For a one-day tour, you should pay attention to the time of going down the mountain, because the mountain is prone to fog and poor visibility, and there will be restrictions. So remember to go down the mountain before the restrictions. There are fewer supplies on the mountain and the prices are relatively higher. You can prepare boiled water, food, light clothes to change, and towels to wipe sweat, which will be easier.
This trip is really worth it. I recommend it to everyone. It's also nice to take a leisurely walk~
