Hua Hin Habitat Hotel

On our first night in Hua Hin, Thailand, we chose this hotel for a short stay as we arrived late due to a delayed bus. The price was under 1,000 baht without breakfast, which was fine since we planned to move to another hotel the next day. The room lighting was a bit dim, and while it had a strong traditional Thai house vibe, the atrium-style room design made me feel slightly uneasy when using the elevator at night. The only downside was the persistent smell from the bathroom pipes, which couldn't be masked even after using a lot of fragrant spray we brought along. Overall, the night had a peculiar atmosphere. It's worth mentioning that the transformer box outside the hotel on the ground floor was extremely loud. If you've seen Thai movies, you might recall the loud transformer box sounds at night—this was exactly like that.

During the day, the building looked quite beautiful, and there was a pool on the second floor. However, no guests seemed to use it, likely because there was no sunlight. Foreign tourists usually enjoy sunbathing, which might be a drawback for this hotel. Additionally, they didn't provide breakfast. Overall, it seemed to be a privately-run hotel. While the place was great for taking photos, the stay itself wasn't very comfortable. That said, the hotel is conveniently located near Hua Hin's main shopping mall and dining spots.

🏖️ Atmosphere/Facilities: Average 😅
💰 Cost per person: Less than 1,000 baht per night during the off-season for 3 people
💞 Recommended reason: Affordable room rates
