### 🌟 Review of the Past: The Old Hua Hin Railway Station, Phlapphla Throne Hall, an Ancient Community Near the Night Market
#### 🏛️ **1. Hua Hin Railway Station: Classic Architecture, a Symbol of Hua Hin**
- **History and Uniqueness**: The original station was built in 1911, while the current building (the second building) was constructed in 1926, using the wooden frame from the pavilion at the "Siam Rath Museum" at Lumphini Park, reassembled after the death of King Rama VI.
- **Architecture**: A blend of Victorian style with wooden bungalows, featuring hip roofs covered with kite tiles. The wooden pillar structure features intricately carved patterns, and is painted in distinctive cream and red. It received the "Outstanding Conservation Building" award in 1982.
- **Important Photo Spots**: The white station sign with red trim and carved Thai motifs, the antique wooden balcony, and the old platform create a retro atmosphere.
- **Recent Renovations**: Double-track and elevated platforms for improved efficiency. But the old building remains intact.
#### 👑 **2. Phlap Phla Phra Mongkut Klao: Royal Historical Evidence**
- **Origin**: Originally "Phlap Phla Nam Chan" from Sanam Chandra Palace, Nakhon Pathom Province, it was built for King Rama VI to stay and observe the training of the Wild Tiger Corps and Boy Scouts.
- **Move to Hua Hin**: After the death of King Rama VI, the State Railway of Thailand dismantled the pavilion, preserved it, and reassembled it at Hua Hin Station in 1968 to serve as a residence for members of the Royal Family during their visits.
- **Architectural Style**: This pavilion features a four-sided pavilion in a modern Thai style, with intricately carved wooden structures. It is located south of the station, slightly away from the main building.
#### 🚂 **3. Surrounding Area: Old communities and night markets**
- **Hua Hin Night Market** is a 5-10 minute walk from the station, filled with fresh seafood and local products. And popular snacks like Train Fried Rice, which originated from the Bangkok-Hua Hin Express train.
- **Nearby Points of Interest**:
- **Steam Locomotive No. 305**: Displayed behind the station, imported from England before World War II.
- **Railway Library**: Renovated from an old train car.
- **Cafes**: Several shops around the station offer places to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, such as the cafe inside the station building.
#### ⏰ **4. Travel and Best Time**
- **Getting there**: Take the train from Hua Lamphong or Krungthep Apiwat Station for 44 baht and get off at "Hua Hin Station" directly.
- **Viewing Time**: Open 24 hours, but the evening is most beautiful with golden light reflecting off the ancient buildings. It's also a great place to walk to the night market.
- **Recommended Activities**: Take photos of the pavilion at sunset, sip coffee at a shop near the original station, and buy snacks from the night market.
