Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa

Escaping the rain in Bangkok, I decided to head to Hua Hin. It’s been a while since my last visit. The FO staff greeted me warmly, just as I remembered. I haven’t been here for almost two years because I’ve been staying at a quieter nearby chain. However, every time I return there, I feel like a stranger, even though I’ve stayed over 20 nights in the past two years.
This time, the journey from Bangkok took 4 hours—a grueling trip, but I was determined.
I love the beach during the rainy season. It’s less crowded, the prices are good, and the weather isn’t too hot.
I booked a standard room but got upgraded to a 1 King Pool Access room (39 sqm). Normally, I’m not a fan of these rooms because they can be noisy, but this time, on a weekday, it was peaceful.
Breakfast at Amber was as good as always. The selection was extensive and varied, but the atmosphere felt like being in China, with about 80% of the guests being international tourists. I was able to get a late check-out until 3 PM. Note that from September 8-14, 2023, there are major renovations underway.
