Visiting the Dazzling Golden Carpet of Chike Mountain

The blooming season of daylilies lasts for two months, typically from early August to mid-October in 2025. Flower enthusiasts, don't miss the chance to admire the stunning sea of daylilies.

Chike Mountain, also known as Chike Hill, is located in Yuli Township, Hualien County, Taiwan, at an altitude of about 900 meters. During the Japanese colonial period, the mountain was named after the red cypress trees planted there. The Japanese used the hard red cypress wood to make rifle stocks. Today, the mountain is covered with daylily fields.

The Little Switzerland Farm on Chike Mountain, situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters, boasts an impressive area of daylily plantations. The entire farm is surrounded by a dazzling golden carpet of flowers. This visit included two highlights of Chike Mountain: the Little Switzerland Farm and the Wang Family Historic Residence. The Wang Family Historic Residence features a large courtyard for drying daylilies, making it a great spot for photography and experiencing the charm of rural life.
