🌄 Introduction to Jiuqu Cave Tunnel
The Jiuqu Cave Tunnel is located in Taroko National Park and is arguably one of the most classic canyon hiking trails in Taiwan! The tunnel, with a total length of about 700 meters, was originally the old road of Zhongheng Highway, which has been converted into a safe trail, allowing people to enjoy the magnificent views of the gorge walls, boulders and Standing Fog Creek up close. Visiting in autumn, the rock walls of Jiuqu Cave are dyed with gold, the air is fresh, and it is a completely natural summer pavilion.

✨Highlights of the trip
1. Stroll through the canyon and feel the wonder of the "line of sky": inside and outside the tunnel, skylight shines from the rock seams, the surrounding cliffs are towering, stepping on the hiking trail under your feet is like walking into the canvas of a natural masterpiece.

Courteous little Tips
- Recommended to come and play in the fall! The climate is comfortable and not boring, and the view of the canyon is the most beautiful.
- It is recommended to wear comfortable non-slip sneakers, the trail is partially wet and slippery, pay attention to safety.
- Some sections of the tunnel are wet and cold, so it is recommended to bring a thin jacket with you.
- Tour time is recommended to reserve 1~1.5 hours, slowly walk and take pictures so that you will not miss the beautiful scenery.
- Water, food prepared in advance (no shops on site), remember garbage please take away to guard nature!
Transportation tips
1. After getting off at Hualien Railway Station/Xincheng Railway Station, you can take the Taroko Passenger or Charter Bus to Jiuqudong Tunnel.
2. If driving on your own, note that access to Taroko National Park is subject to traffic control and the parking lot is recommended to inquire in advance.
Food recommendations
On the return trip, you can stop by the famous New Town Jiaxing Ice Cream Shop Lemon Juice, or go to Hualien City to taste flat food and fried egg and onion pancakes.
Itinerary Extension Recommendation
If you have time, it is recommended to visit the Shakaji Trail, Changchun Temple and Swallow Mouth on the same day to pack the essence of Taroko National Park at once!
