Three-day, two-night trip to Huangshan 🙋♀️||▫️DAY 1 Shanghai - Huangshan North Station - Hongcun
🍊Search for "Yichuxing" to buy tickets! Turn right after exiting the North Station and take a bus to various scenic spots in Huangshan. Super convenient!
🍽️Jushantang Private Kitchen 👍Great environment! The owner said this is a 170-year-old ancestral home! The fish head soup was amazing! The stone ear fungus scrambled eggs were also delicious!
☕️Half Sugar Coffee 👍Quieter than the lakeside coffee shop, perfect for a lazy afternoon 🤎
🏨Zuo Xian Art Hotel
Beautifully decorated, roasted sweet potatoes at night, and Herborist toiletries that I secretly took home, hehe!
▫️DAY 2 Hongcun - Huangshan Scenic Area
🚌Minibus directly to the scenic area entrance, about 50 min
🎫Ticket + round-trip cable car CNY 360/person, back mountain up, front mountain down, about 7 hours
🙋For first-time climbers, take breaks along the way. There are many stone benches. The section from Lotus Peak to Guest-Greeting Pine has a very steep staircase, but the rest is fine.
🏨Atour Hotel (South Gate Transfer Center)
About 7–8 minutes' walk to the scenic area entrance. Soundproofing is average, but the room is very clean.
▫️DAY 3 Huangshan Scenic Area - Tunxi Old Street - Huangshan North Station - Shanghai
🚌Minibus directly to Old Street, about 50 min
Not many people on Old Street during the day, but it might be livelier at night. Walking along the Xin'an River is very pleasant 😌
☕️Wanglai Coffee 👍Most famous for Huangshan Sea of Clouds, but I think Sunset Orange Sea is better! Regret not trying their cakes!
Tips:
1️⃣Choose a day with good weather for climbing. The scenery is very different.
2️⃣Hiking poles depend on the person. I find it easier to climb without them.
3️⃣Going down is harder than going up. Relax your calves to prevent soreness.
