Huangshi Weisu Bay Florascape·Egret Retreat Hotel features minimalist geometric lines in its architecture, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. The designer skillfully employs the "borrowed scenery" technique, transforming the shimmering waves of Cihu Lake and the hazy outlines of distant mountains into the most vivid decorative paintings within the space.
In the morning, opening the full-length terrace doors reveals elegant arcs of egrets skimming across the water's surface. The interiors use breathable linen fabrics and locally crafted camphor wood furniture, with custom fragrances inspired by lakeside reeds. Smart systems are seamlessly integrated into rustic textures, while the copper bathtub in the bathroom pays homage to Huangshi's ancient bronze culture.
The chef deconstructs and reinvents traditional flavors like Yangxin Tun bird soup and Daye paste noodles. Don't miss the "Cihu Lake Three Delicacies Platter" featuring freshly caught mandarin fish, shrimp, and river snails. The breakfast station's soybean skin is freshly ground from local farmers' beans, served with osmanthus honey from Bao'an Lake.
The infinity pool features a 24-hour circulation system, offering misty morning lake views for early swimmers. The underground "Mineral Therapy SPA" incorporates elements from the ancient Tonglüshan mining site, with their unique malachite hot stone therapy being a must-try experience.
At Egret Retreat, every detail speaks of reverence for this land. As egrets return to their nests at dusk while you sip Daye cloud mist tea on the terrace, you might understand: true luxury is letting time flow naturally amidst lakes and mountains.
