When it comes to Mount Hua, "the most dangerous mountain in the world", who doesn't want to conquer this martial arts holy land in person? The long-sky canyon on the cliff, the sunrise on the east peak in the sea of clouds⛰️ - just thinking about it makes my blood boil! However, Huashan is not just a climb. This super practical guide helps you get transportation, equipment, and reservation tips. A must-read for friends who want to challenge the top!
[Transportation and Climbing Starting Point Guide]
If you want to conquer Mount Hua, you must first fix the transportation! It is super convenient from Xi'an, and there are intensive shuttle buses to and from Xi'an City East Passenger Terminal. Taking the train is also OK, whether you get off at Huashan North Station or Huashan Station, there is a bus or city bus at the exit to take you to the Huashan Scenic Area Visitor Center for seamless connection! 🚌
Attention self-drive visitors, there are paid parking lots at the visitor center and Yuquan Courtyard. Tip: The entrances for hiking up the mountain and taking the ropeway up are separate! It is strongly recommended that you park your car at the visitor center if you buy a ropeway ticket; if you choose the hiking challenge, remember to park your car near Yuquanyuan. Also note that the visitor center is still some way from the cableway entrance, you need to take a paid shuttle bus to get there!
[Mountaineering equipment is essential]
The road in Huashan is no joke, it is full of mountain roads and stone steps! A pair of non-slip flats or soft-soled sneakers is definitely the basic equipment, don’t challenge yourself with high heels or hard-soled shoes! 👟
The weather in the mountainous areas changes at any time! The temperature difference between the summit and the foot of the mountain is huge, especially when the temperature is lower after nightfall. A warm and thick jacket must be worn to prevent colds. You can also consider stuffing lightweight rain gear into your backpack.
