Cibi Lake is located in northeastern Eryuan County, approximately 3 kilometers from the county seat, 73 kilometers north of Dali, and 58 kilometers south of the Shibaoshan Scenic Area in Jianchuan. It is the primary source of Erhai Lake's waters, covering an area of ​​8.46 square kilometers and boasting a shoreline of 17 kilometers.

Cibi Lake, also known as Ning Lake, gets its name from the Cibi flowers that grow within the lake. These flowers belong to the water lily family, with stems as thick as chopsticks and about 10 meters long, and heart-shaped leaves. The flowers bloom in July and August of the lunar calendar, but only for about half an hour each day at sunrise and in the afternoon, respectively. Hence, they are also known as "Zibi Lotus."

Cibi Lake boasts a rare natural wonder called the "Water Splash Tree." On sunny days, if you take a boat to the center of the lake, you might be able to witness this remarkable sight: from the emerald green water, strings of shimmering water droplets rise from the bottom. In the sunlight, they resemble a jade tree covered in pearls.
