Hue is the center of Vietnam's historical relics and is well preserved compared to other regions, so if you are curious about Vietnam's past history, it is a city you should visit. However, the only regret is that the other historical sites except for Hue Citadel are far away, so you have to plan a tour schedule to easily visit them. Usually, you have to ask a travel agency or haggle for half a day with a taxi or something.
However, private taxi tours are not as expensive as you think, so try it before applying for a group tour with a travel agency.

If you are taking a tour with a travel agency, it is not a bad package to include Hai Van Pass, which is not a historical site, but a beautiful seaside cliff road in Hue.
