Baitang Lake in Putian is the largest natural lake in Fujian Province and one of the 24 scenic spots in Putian. It is home to the "Autumn Moon over Baitang" scenic spot. The scenic area covers an area of 2.4 square kilometers and is located about 2 kilometers away from the southern suburbs of Hanjiang District, on the east side of the provincial road Hanhuang Highway. It spans the three mirrors of Baitang Lake, Shangwu, Yangwei and Zhenqian, and has extremely convenient transportation.
The Baitang Lake Scenic Area has beautiful natural scenery, profound cultural heritage, and rich cultural relics. The cultural landscape and natural landscape complement each other. Many of the landscapes are related to historical celebrities such as Li Fu, a famous anti-Jin general, Wen Tianxiang, a national hero, and Qi Jiguang. They are precious historical and cultural heritages. Moreover, the entire scenic area and "Ninghai Churi", one of the 24 scenic spots of Putian not far to the south, and "Mei Fei's Hometown" form a series of numerous attractions, making it a tourist destination with great viewing value.
