Family travel guide. Taking public transportation with kids to check in at Huzhu Beishan Zhalonggou, enjoying a late autumn fairy tale

October in Huzhu Beishan is like a palette quietly spilled by autumn~

Yellow leaves cover the hillsides, and the mountaintops are still capped with a thin layer of white snow.

We bring the kids to find autumn fairy tales in winter temperatures.

No car needed to set off, use public transportation to take the kids into this autumn painting!

🚌 【Transportation Guide】

There are direct buses to Huzhu County from Xining or Haidong Ping’an District;

Key point: There is a dedicated bus line from Huzhu County to Zhalonggou!

📍 The bus terminates at "Zhalonggou Tourism Leisure Resort,"

passing scenic spots like Shierpanpo and Langshidang along the way.

The fare is 27 yuan per person, children on laps ride free without a seat~

⏰ The trip takes about 2-2.5 hours, and the scenery along the way is as beautiful as a movie!

📅 Buses run two round trips daily, departing in both morning and afternoon;

You can save the schedule and driver contact info in the image at the end of the text.

It’s recommended to call ahead to confirm times to avoid any issues when traveling with kids~

‼️ Important tips:

There are still 6 kilometers from the bus terminus "Zhalonggou Resort" to the scenic area entrance!

There is no shuttle bus in the scenic area, so you can try to hitch a ride by waving,

or politely ask local villagers if they offer paid rides (about 10-20 yuan).

We took a ride up with the kids and walked down, the autumn scenery all along was super healing!

🎫 Zhalonggou entrance ticket is 50 yuan per person, free for children under 1.2 meters;

The scenic area sightseeing bus round trip costs 20 yuan (5 km one way, recommended to take);

Take your time with the kids to walk, take photos, and eat snacks, 3 hours is just right for the visit~

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Tips:

Temperatures drop sharply after 4 PM in the mountains, be sure to dress the kids in down jackets!

The Shierpanpo section is prone to traffic jams, so it’s best to set off early;

If you want to visit Langshidang as well, consider staying overnight in a guesthouse, village accommodations are convenient.

🌈 A little secret: The autumn scenery along the Zhanian Road is truly stunning,

golden and snowy white intertwined, walking with kids into a fairy tale world, totally worth it!
