Winter Trip to Iceland

Iceland is a country that seems to live on ice, but it’s also full of fire. Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, much of Iceland is covered by glaciers, which sparkle like frozen seas. These massive ice fields, such as Vatnajökull and Langjökull, shape the land and feed beautiful rivers and waterfalls. Beneath the icy surface, the earth is alive with volcanoes and hot springs that warm the ground and fill the air with mist. The meeting of fire and ice makes Iceland unique — one side frozen in time, the other always changing. Even though it sounds cold, Iceland’s people have learned to live comfortably with geothermal heat that powers homes and greenhouses. Visitors can walk on glaciers, relax in warm lagoons, and see the Northern Lights dance across icy skies. Iceland proves that even in the coldest places, nature is full of life, light, and wonder.
