Take you to a different Nara｜A mountain amusement park with nearly a hundred years of history

Many people think of deer and Nara Park when they come to Nara for the first time.
But in fact, Nara’s charm goes far beyond this.

Located on a mountain in Ikoma, Nara, there is an amusement park with a long history that opened in 1929.
The most famous one is the aerial bicycle game. It is a very unique experience to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery while riding an aerial bicycle.

The amusement park is free to enter, but each ride is charged at around 500-600 yen per ride.
On the day of my visit, I didn’t get to experience too many rides because of the unexpected heavy snow, which gave the entire park a completely different beauty.
Seeing the colorful Showa amusement rides covered in snow was very touching.

This view is made even more precious by the fact that the park is closed in winter from December to mid-March.

Park opening hours: 10:00 to 17:00
(Business hours are extended in summer, so if you want to experience amusement rides at sunset, remember to visit in summer)
