It is comprised of two buildings: the Steel Hut, which displays the architectural ideas of architect Toyo Ito, and the Silver Hut, a renovated former residence.

In the Steel Hut, exhibitions related to Ito's architecture are held, and visitors can sit or lie down on the dark blue carpeted floor to relax and enjoy the exhibits.
