One of the tourist spots in Toyama City. It takes an hour by bus, but it's a rare sailing ship tour, so why not go and see it?
The Kaiwomaru was born as a training ship for the Merchant Marine School.
Since its launch on February 14, 1930, it has sailed 1.06 million nautical miles (about 50 times around the earth) in 59 years and trained 11,190 young people of the sea.
At Kaiwomaru Park, the Kaiwomaru is open to the public as it was when it was in service.
Kaiwomaru Park has been designated as a "Sacred Place for Lovers" in honor of Valentine's Day, since the park's symbol, the "Sailboat Kaiwomaru," was launched on February 14.
To commemorate the "Sailboat Kaiwomaru" being recognized as a ship heritage, we are running the "Kaiwomaru Power Spot of Happiness Series."
