[Wakayama] JR Shirahama Station

This is the closest station to Adventure World, a mecca for giant pandas. The station building is also filled with pandas.

There are several shops around the station selling traditional colored sanma sushi, so I bought some for my lunch. It was marinated in vinegar, but it had a sweet, mild taste with a hint of citrus.

The Kuroshio Express has a panda car, so if you're lucky you might see one. If you're a panda lover, check the timetable before you go.
