The Breath of Literature Encountered at the Museum of Modern Korean Literature

Yesterday (February 22nd) afternoon, I visited the Museum of Modern Korean Literature and followed the traces of modern literature. From the entrance, an old-fashioned atmosphere greeted me, and the handwritten manuscripts and typewriters of the authors on display seemed to convey the passion of that era. In particular, in the space where the works of independence activists were displayed, I felt a deep emotion as I looked at the old documents and writing instruments placed under the Taegeukgi.

📌 Recommended points for solo travelers

Special experience: Experience the desk and chair used at the time in the reproduction space of the author's study

Hidden spot: Retro-style reading space in the corner of the exhibition hall → A good place to take pictures while quietly reading a book

Recommended snack: Handmade Yuja-cheong tea (6,000 won) sold at the 'Literature Cafe' next to the literature museum

🚨 Notes

Photography of some exhibits is prohibited (check the notice)

Quiet viewing is required (refrain from making noise)

Closed on Mondays

I finished the day around 5 o'clock, looking at the scenery outside the exhibition hall window with the sunset. The guide told me, "In the spring, there is a literature reading in the outdoor garden," so I'm looking forward to my next visit! So I'm planning to visit again around April!🌸
