On this trip, I explored the city of Interlaken, the gateway to the Alps, where lakes and mountains meet! 🇨🇭🏞️✨

🛄ㅣThe City Between Two Lakes, the Starting Point of Our Trip
Interlaken, as its name suggests, is a city nestled between two lakes (Lake Thunersee and Lake Brienzersee). It's a hub for trains to the Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger, and a must-see for any Swiss traveler.
As soon as I stepped out of the train station, the crisp, clear air greeted me, and distant snow-capped mountains loomed on the horizon. The entire city exuded a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, and every step felt like walking through a picturesque landscape.

🌿 Lake breezes and streets filled with flowers
In the city center lies Höhematte Park. Beyond the lawn, the Jungfrau peak was clearly visible, and paragliders were slowly descending in the sky. Cafes and souvenir shops lined the edge of the park, making for a perfect moment of leisurely gazing at the mountains while enjoying an iced coffee.
The streets were lined with traditional Swiss chalet-style buildings and modern hotels, and charming shops selling Jungfrau souvenirs, Swiss chocolate, watches, umbrellas, and other accessories were lined up.

🏔️ A Romantic Night in the Alps
After sunset, the streets of Interlaken quieted down, but even in that silence, warm lights filled the air. Music flowed from cafe terraces, and the crimson sunset reflected off the Jungfrau ridge in the distance.
Walking through the small alleyways, I heard the murmur of the Aare River, and beside it, I saw walkers and cyclists. It was a night where mountains, water, people, and music all came together perfectly.

1️⃣ Route – It's about a 20-minute walk between Interlaken Ost (East) and West (West) train stations, with Höhematte Park in the middle.
2️⃣ Recommended Time of Day – The morning offers a clear view of the mountains, while the afternoon is the peak for paragliding. In the evening, the sunset bathes the entire city in vibrant colors, making for particularly beautiful photos.
3️⃣ Recommended Spots – Höhematte Park, the Aare River promenade, Jungfraustrasse, and Unterseen Old Town.
4️⃣ Small Fun Things to Do – Pick up Swiss snacks or chocolate at a Migros or Coop supermarket and enjoy a picnic in the park.
