Inuyama Castle, built in the 16th century, is the oldest existing castle in the style.
Recognized for its symbolism, it was designated as a Japanese National Treasure, and it is said that only five castles, including Inuyama Castle, have a national treasure keep.

In particular, among the five castles designated as Japanese National Treasures, Inuyama Castle is the only one that allows access to the porch outside the watchtower on the top floor of the castle, offering a 360-degree view of the surrounding scenery.

On a clear day, it is a great place to view Nagoya City and Gifu Castle.

There are various materials on display throughout the castle, so you can enjoy looking around. There is also a lounge and souvenir shop outside the castle, so be sure to stop by.
