🍀 Introduction to Inuyama
Location: Northern Aichi Prefecture, Japan, about 30 minutes by train from Nagoya
Features: The oldest original wooden castle in Japan, a place where traditional Japanese culture is well preserved, including yukata experiences, traditional streets, and kamakura experiences
☘️ Major tourist attractions
1️⃣ Inuyama Castle
One of the 12 existing wooden castles in Japan, and a national treasure
If you climb the stairs inside the castle, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Kiso River and the city
The area around the castle is also famous for cherry blossoms
2️⃣ Inuyama Jokamachi
A traditional street below the castle with lots of food and souvenir shops
A great street to take a walk after renting a yukata
Must-eat snacks: croquettes, miso katsu, soft-serve ice cream, and dango
3️⃣ Naraku-an and National Treasure Garden
A place where Japanese tea ceremony culture is Garden where you can see the water
Including the tea house ‘Joan’ designated as a national treasure
4️⃣Meiji-mura (明治村)
An open-air museum that restores Japanese architecture from the Meiji period (late 19th century to early 20th century)
You can also try on clothes, try on old school uniforms, and ride a steam locomotive
5️⃣Kiso River Cruise / Ukai (Cormorant Fishing) Experience (summer only)
A special experience of watching cormorant fishing, a traditional fishing method
Watch a fishing demonstration in the evening while riding a cruise

Nagoya Station → Inuyama Station
Take the Meitetsu Line (名鉄犬山線), about 30 minutes
After arriving at Inuyama Station, you can walk to most of the attractions
