Mount Whitney

#hellohalloween

Mount Whitney, is the highest peak in the contiguous United States. Located on the boundary of Sequoia National Park and Inyo National Forest in California, it is a demanding but popular destination for hikers and climbers. The most common way to the summit is a strenuous 22-mile round trip hike starting from Whitney Portal. It is a class 1 (non-technical) trail, but its length and high altitude make it a serious physical challenge. Many hikers break this into a two-day trip, camping at Outpost Camp or Trail Camp.
