Michelin Green Guide Three-Star: The Stunning Scenery of Kabira Bay

Kabira Bay is about a 30-minute drive from Ishigaki City's downtown area. If you plan to access it by public bus, it's better to go in the morning as the bus schedule is less convenient later in the day. I personally took an electric scooter and spent about 90 minutes getting there. During my previous visit, the weather was cloudy, but this time it was incredibly sunny. Initially, I had planned to visit the next morning by bus, but since the weather forecast wasn't promising, I decided to go immediately—and it turned out to be a great decision. The scenery was breathtaking, and it's likely that such beauty is hard to appreciate without good weather. Swimming is prohibited at Kabira Bay, but you can enjoy activities like glass-bottom boat tours. There are also cafes and souvenir shops, making the area quite lively.
