🚢 Japan Star Cruises · Ishigaki Island Tour

This time, I embarked on a relaxing and relaxing journey aboard Star Cruises, staying in a twin room with a sea view window. Waking up to endless ocean views each day, the sunlight streaming into the room instantly brightened my mood—the view alone was worth the price of admission!

🌊 Life on the Cruise

The pace of the cruise was incredibly relaxed, offering something for everyone, whether it was just relaxing at sea, participating in activities, or, most fascinating of all, dining. Most restaurants were buffet-style, offering a wide selection, ranging from Asian cuisine to Western desserts. However, popular restaurants often had long lines, so I recommend getting a numbered ticket before browsing the duty-free shops or filling up at other restaurants until your number is called. This way, you can avoid wasting time waiting in line.

🏝️ Day Trip to Ishigaki Island

Upon arrival at Ishigaki Island, we couldn't wait to disembark and explore. We chose a local barbecue restaurant for lunch; the aroma of grilled meat mingled with the sea breeze was truly a delight. We then explored the nearby convenience stores and market. Ishigaki Island's market atmosphere impressed me the most: clean and tidy, yet still retaining local charm, you can immerse yourself in the authentic island life. Not only can you buy fresh produce here, but you can also witness the daily interactions of locals. Highly recommended for those who enjoy experiencing local culture.

🧂 Must-Visit Specialty Shop: "Salt Shop"

My favorite is the unique salt shop! They display a wide variety of salts, not just for seasoning, but also a wide variety of salt-related specialty goods. The most surprising item is the salt-flavored ice cream—the combination of salty and sweet is incredibly refreshing and unexpectedly delicious!

💡 Tips | Travel Advice

1. Remember to get a numbered ticket at popular restaurants: save time waiting in line and use the time to browse duty-free shops or take photos.

2. Bring a small backpack: it's convenient for storing your hauls on the island; it's easy to overstock at the markets and specialty shops 😂

3. Be sure to wear adequate sun protection: The sun on Ishigaki Island is intense, so a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses are essential.

4. Bring some Japanese yen: Markets and small shops may not accept credit cards, so bringing cash is more convenient.

5. Save space for local delicacies: Don't miss the snacks at the market or the ice cream at "Shioya" (Shioya).
