The hotel sits within an 1,800-acre integrated eco-township with mangrove forests nearby, and it’s directly connected by link bridge to the Sunway Big Box Retail Park—a large open-air hybrid mall with shops, restaurants, and entertainment. 

Why It’s Worth Visiting
This is a great pick if you want nature + comfort + convenience. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, and 24-hour front desk.  The hotel offers many room options—including Premier and Executive Suites with generous space, living/dining areas, smart TVs, and extras like espresso machines and sofas in selected rooms.  For families especially, the Family Suites are well suited, and there’s a free shuttle to Legoland (upon check-in) for certain room types.  The location is excellent: near Singapore via Coastal Highway, close to Senai Airport, Puteri Harbour, and many attractions in Johor. 

My Impression
Staying at Sunway Hotel Big Box feels like having the best base for both rest and exploration. The modern interiors and spacious suites give room to breathe. After shopping, dining, or spending the day in retail park or X-Park adventures, returning to the poolside or relaxing in the lounge feels very satisfying. What stood out was how much the hotel provides convenience—retail on your doorstep, easy access to highways, good rooms—without sacrificing comfort or a sense of escape. It’s not about extravagance, but about thoughtful design and having everything you might want within reach.
