Watch out for the female snake demon ~ Underground Water Palace

The underground water palace Yerebatan Sarayı was built during the reign of 527-565 AD and was mainly used to store water for the residents of Istanbul. The original site was a church, and the underground was converted into a reservoir after the fire. Therefore, the underground palace is also known as the "palace of silence" and "the reservoir of the church". Later, visitors were received, and a trail deep into the water palace was built on the pool. The steps were lit with only a few lights on both sides. Walking in it was like walking into a mysterious tunnel.
Continue walking into D and come to the mysterious end, where there are two "gorgon Medusa" head elephants, Medusa is a terrible banshee in Greek mythology. These two heads, one sideways, one upside down, were "suppressed" under the pillars in different directions. There is a legend that when the water palace was built, the designer was afraid that the descendants of Medusa would turn into stone.
Because of their special mystery, the movies "007 Skyfall" and "The Accidental Spy" have been shot at the Underwater Palace.
