Istanbul: Semi-buffet dining and a la carte dining, like a true Turkish person

Our last meal in Istanbul was at a restaurant near Taksim Square called Piknik Lokanta. It's a semi-buffet restaurant, similar to IKEA. You choose your meal first and then go to the counter to pay. There's a wide variety of dishes, including chicken, beef, and lamb, lamb fried rice, rice and pasta, and a variety of desserts.

We ordered rice, pasta, lamb fried rice, beef, chicken thighs, chicken soup, rice pudding, and drinks. It was a lot of food, and the total bill for two people was 271TL.

The rice pudding is also a Turkish dessert and worth trying. The lamb fried rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken thigh had a fragrant, oily aroma. The restaurant also offered free-flowing Turkish tea, and was frequented by many Turkish people.
