İsmailağa Cemaati is a branch of the Gümüşhanevî Dergâh, a Turkish Sufi sect. The mosque was severely damaged during the 1894 Istanbul earthquake and its minaret was destroyed. The renovation and repair work on the mosque was completed in 1952.
The location is also near the Balat area, so you can stop by when you come to visit!
