Sakurai Futomiura Couple Rock is located in the northern part of Itoshima City, within the Genkai National Park and is a famous place in Fukuoka Prefecture.

The white torii gate and the blue sea plus the blue sky and white clouds are really beautiful views, it's really beautiful to take pictures.

Opposite the white torii is a large rock, known as Couple Rock because of its shape that resembles a couple clinging to each other. Couple Rock is located on the sea about 150 meters from the coast and is connected by a rope. It belongs to the territory of Sakurai Shrine and is also known as Sakurai Nimiura because of its reverence by the Kuroda clan.
