Izmir became a major trading hub in the Middle East from the 14th century onwards, and became a very large trading and port town in the Mediterranean. Goods from Central Asia and Iran arrived here via naval transport and were shipped to European countries 🇪🇺⛴️ 💨🌊

Konark Pier plays a very important role‼ ️Its predecessor was the Izmir Trade Center, the Old Customs Building and the Fish Market. Since restoration was completed in 2003 it has been turned into a shopping mall. There are Western fast food restaurants, cinemas, restaurants and shops on site. In the middle is the landmark Konark Clock Tower, which has a traditional architectural style🕰️

You can’t miss the prime location on the promenade. Visit at dusk and you will be amazed by the sea view! This place is very suitable for taking pictures🌅🌇 There will be live music in the evening, and some market stalls are set up in the square🎻🎼

It's always very crowded and lively here! Definitely one of the most important historical buildings in Izmir‼ ️Must go‼ ️🇹🇷
