Kansai International Airport, also known as Osaka Kansai Airport, is located on Kanku Island in Osaka Bay in the southwest of Osaka Prefecture, Japan, 35 kilometers from the center of Osaka. You may not know this if you don’t check, but Kansai International Airport is the world’s first artificial island airport built entirely on reclaimed land. Construction began in 1987 and it was officially opened in 1994.

Kansai International Airport is mainly divided into two terminals. International flights and major domestic flights are concentrated in Terminal 1, and Terminal 2 is dedicated to LCC routes. There is a free shuttle bus between the two terminals. Terminal 1 is also directly connected to Kansai Airport Station.

There are many duty-free shops in Kansai International Airport. After security check, the duty-free shop tour starts with major cosmetics brands.
